Connecting With Youth

I have benefitted from so many programs that invested in youth and our potential. I would not be where I am today if it weren't for the mentors that I've had and the programs that provided me with resources and academic and professional support. Thus, I enjoy giving back when possible and connecting with youth, so that they, too, can know the difference they can make in our world.

This was a full circle moment for me because not only was I able to connect with current Ward Fellows as an Alumna of the program, but I was able to welcome them at Busboys - the venue where I perform my poetry and the organization whose mission is tightly aligned with that of the Ward & Miller Fellowships: to inspire people to make positive social change in our communities.
